Community Transport Driver and Customer Services Support, Hackney,

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, professional individual to join HCT for this unique and exciting opportunity as both a driver, to provide transportation and support to users of the services according to their individual needs and requirements; and a Customer Services support, to embed within the team, liaising with our individual and group customers to help meet their various transport needs. You will be required to handle telephone calls, monitor emails, process booking requests, carry out quality surveys and provide follow-up administration.

As well as being an excellent driver with a sound understanding of the needs of vulnerable individuals you must hold a clean UK Driving Licence with Category D1 entitlement. Due to working with vulnerable adults and children, you must also be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS; if you have a portal DBS, this will be accepted. You will possess excellent communication skills, be flexible, honest, have a ‘can do’ attitude and be confident working on your own initiative.

You will be trained and expected to operate on all Community Transport Services. A full job description for the role can be downloaded here.

The role involves mostly office hours but you would be expected to cover shifts for the driving role, between 7pm and midnight at short notice, working a total of 35 hours over 7 days and is offered initially as a fixed contract for 12 months, with possible extension.
