Breaking News: HCT Group launches 2018 Social Impact Report

Source By: Hackney Community Transport

HCT Group is a social enterprise, reinvesting the profits it makes from transport contracts back into high social impact transport services or projects in the communities we serve. We aim to make a real difference to people’s lives and what we’ve achieved each year is set out in our annual Social Impact Report.

The report was launched on 25 July at an event held at the St Luke’s Trust Community Centre. The event was attended by a host of stakeholders - staff, service users, board members, social investors, commissioners and more.

The report sets outs our achievements for the year. Not only has our commercial side performed very strongly, with growth of 26.9% to a turnover of £62.9m, we’ve had a great year for social impact

·         346,000 passenger trips for disadvantaged individuals or community group members

·         Our Learning Centre has helped 506 learners to achieve 729 positive learning outcomes, 379 qualifications and 178 of our learners found jobs.

Behind each of these numbers is a story – of increased independence, of connections with the community, of new opportunities. As a consequence, the report explores the full impact of our services on people's lives with data gained from survey research and focus groups.

“HCT Group is all about social impact, making a difference to people’s lives” said Dai Powell, HCT Group Chief Executive. “I am delighted that we could share what we’ve achieved over the past year with our stakeholders.”
