Supporting children to play in the street

A new report explores how local, resident-led street play initiatives and programmes are being taken forward in disadvantaged areas of England, in response to concerns about the decline in children's opportunities for outdoor play. Apparently this is very different to telling your children to go and play with the traffic (which we've never done).

The government's pledge to transform mental health services for young people has taken an important step forward with teachers and staff across the country starting training to identify and respond to early signs of mental health problems among pupils.


CREATE YOUR FUTURE - We can help!

This creative and flexible 3-year project called Create Your Future offers training workshops to unemployed BAME women and aims to increase personal confidence and motivation; explore personal barriers to positive progression; develop core skills; consider employment options; and build relationships and networks. The workshops utilise a range of creative methods to facilitate equal engagement of all, and will be delivered at various community venues.
